PARIS, April 22 (Reuters)

EDF is going to pay lower tariffs in a highly power-consuming industrial group, reported Tuesday the daily Les Echos on its website.

The State has requested in recent months public group to overhaul the contract he signed in 2010 with "electro-intensive" meeting within the Exeltium consortium, which includes in particular chemistsArkema and Solvay , the steelmaker Arcelor or the manufacturer of industrial gases Air Liquide .

Supposed to guarantee them a preferential price, the contract proved far less interesting than expected for industrial, mainly due to unfavorable indexing, and even, according to them, penalized compared to their German and American competitors.

According to Les Echos, "the two sides have reached an agreement to reduce the price of electricity that will be provided for several years - five to six years - in exchange for a possible increase for the years then remaining by 2034. "

The price is now more or less aligned, including financing costs, the price agreed today to competitors' s EDF for their residential and business customers, or 42 euros per megawatt hour against 47-52 euros paid today by Exeltium.

EDF did not wish to comment on these reports. (Benjamin Mallet, edited by Juliette Rouillon)

The direction of the Michelin group (62,000 employees in Europe) and the negotiators appointed by the EWC signed on March 26, Valladolid, a "European framework agreement on social responsibility and development" *. This is the first time the Michelin Group entered into a transnational agreement and it is a revolution: 1 long marked by a paternalistic and unfavorable to unions culture, the group has been repeatedly condemned for anti-union discrimination in France and n ' established a European CE 1999. 2 The content of the agreement departs from standard IFAs through a "lengthy negotiations for which management has the means to work with representatives employees, "said Cyrille Poughon (CFDT), secretary of the European CE Michelin. Finally, the agreement reflects the "new" culture of the group, its ambitions in terms of social relations and contains concrete commitments, such as to make 50% of the jobs available to senior citizens and women. 3 The text is a framework agreement on which the social partners of the group will open, from 2015, a series of transnational negotiations from different themes listed in the agreement. It also opens the way for the negotiation of an international framework agreement to cover employees outside the EU, with the union federation IndustriAll Global Union. There was no indication there twenty years the group's president can say, as did Jean-Dominique, at the signing of the agreement, that "a successful company is a company that lives Relations social practices ". The social partners have been able to transform a culture of confrontation and avoidance in "constructive dialogue" and in this moult, established within the European CE dialogue it has helped.
